HED presents:
Rook & The Ravens // UHR // Ahmed & The Romans // House of Wolves // FirstnameFrank
Sunday 30th April from 6pm
The Ferret, Preston
---
HED has put together a special concoction of musical treats as both a thank you and a celebration of the success of the recent "Save The Ferret" fundraising campaign. It was such an uplifting experience to see the community come together over the last few months. So, for this show we have invited back five of the acts who supported the campaign to make one big humdinger of a line-up.

ROOK & THE RAVENS
https://www.facebook.com/rookandtheravens/
Rook & The Ravens have toured far and wide, from Dublin in Ireland to Dublin in California, from Nashville Tennessee to Saltburn-by-the-Sea. Doing so they've kept a loyal fan base and remained proudly independent. "Their three-part harmonies are on par with Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. Newer songs rival Bends-era Radiohead and rock harder than early Queen. What other band can do all that and still sound at least as contemporary as Alt-J and Fleet Foxes?"
UHR
https://uhr-fyi.bandcamp.com/
Uhr describe themselves as "Antifreeze to the windshield of your heart, a bag full of children's wishes thrown into an incinerator made of bulls." In other words, they are dead good!
AHMED & THE ROMANS
https://www.facebook.com/ahmedandtheromans/
The son of the Egyptian James Brown and 3 Italians pieced together from the bowels of the old empire. A real treat, a real sonic treat to bite into.
HOUSE OF WOLVES
https://www.facebook.com/HouseOfWolvesTheBand
House of Wolves embody the classic rock style that has evolved since the late 70s. They do it in such a way that isn’t a mimicking or rehashing of that classic style.
FIRSTNAMEFRANK
https://firstnamefrank.bandcamp.com/
A man, a piano & some great songs: FirstnameFrank. He delighted The Ferret crowd at the recent Badly Drawn Boy show with a sublime support set of superlative song writing.
