HED Presents... Baboon // All Hail Hyena // Fighting // Zvilnik // Geese @ The Ferret on Fri 30th June
After seeing a bag of cans suspiciously strewn outside the front door, HED leapt into action and put together a homecoming show for the lads from Fighting - who are returning to the live stage after a hiatus. It's a five act behemoth of a line-up with them sandwiched in the middle. Just the way they like it. There shall be blood, sweat, tears, silliness and a dollop of drunken bravado.

BABOON
https://www.facebook.com/lookatbaboon
That Preston band in masks. No, the other one. From sea shanties to glam-rock synth freak-outs, covering bigamy and avian conflict, Baboon went out with a bang in 2013 then stumbled out into the light reformed in 2018. Here they are in all their glory. Where's the beef?!
ALL HAIL HYENA
https://www.facebook.com/allhailhyena
Hailing from Burnley, these Ferret regulars describe themselves as "a washed up, insecure, middle aged boy band making alt-punk pop in their pyjamas. You are entitled to hate what we do."
FIGHTING
Hiya, it's James from Fighting speaking to you through the mouthpiece of the wonderful Ed Monk. I wrote this super long essay about how our guitarist left the band to start a new life away, and what we planned to do about it. But I realised whatever I wrote was wordy and pointless. Come and see for yourself. We've been grafting like madlads to get ready for this concert. I've never been more excited / nervous to show you our music all over again. Brand new songs. Brand new vibez. Brand new FIGHTING!
ZVILNIK
https://www.facebook.com/zvilnik
Zvilnik are a band like no other band you've heard. You should hear them. The north-west's premier sci-fi prog surf cabaret rock band, Zvilnik draw on influences from eastern Europe, the West End and low grade horror movies to create a sound like no other.
GEESE
https://www.facebook.com/geesetheband
Formed from the carcasses of various bands, guitarist Matt Gerrard, drummer Chris McKendrick and bassist Lewis Hill call Geese “an experiment in time-travelling genre-fluidity.”
